This week Bungie have released the 2nd Halo reach reveal trailer, this time concentrating more on the characters in the story and perhaps giving us a glimpse of the games main protagonist and his crew of Spartans. Check out the full trailer in the recommended section.

The trailer begins through the eyes of a Spartan as he puts on his helmet, The dialogue references him as having a “lone wolf” past and he does not speak throughout the entire clip.. which indicates perhaps that this will be our main character in the story..

Rather than offering much by way of in game  plot details, this trailer seems to focus on introducing us to the new characters.  One thin i found interesting about this trailer is  the focus on the team members armor which contains glimpses of their details… The female Spartan, identified as Kat-320 on her armor,  has a mechanical arm. The commander, identified by his armor as Carter-259, is shown with a wrist panel computer, indicating that maybe some of these upgrades may be available in the game perhaps ?

I d like to think that perhaps Halo: Reach will offer much more in the way of squad based gameplay with the intense focus on the “team” aspect of the trailer.. however this could be just wild speculation on my part.

Being a massive Halo fan I am of course excited about this game.. much as I was about ODST although I felt a little let down by the end of the game.. it was great fun … but felt that it was lacking something that made Halo 3 the greatest in the series.

Hopefully with Reach bungie will pull out all of the stops and deliver a truly epic experience.. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
